Staffing

Our caring staff, under the direction of the Home Manager, are dedicated to providing person centred care with the focus on individual needs and preferences in a caring and supportive environment. Visitors frequently remark on the friendly atmosphere of the home.

Low turnover of staff means our residents have continuity of care by familiar faces. The ratio of staff to residents are within Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines. 95% of our social care workers have achieved or are working towards Health & Social Care Diplomas Levels 2 and 3, other staff have levels 4 & 5. In addition to specialist dementia training, all staff undertake mandatory training in safeguarding vulnerable adults, person centred care, mental capacity, first aid, medication, fire and health and safety, infection control, challenging behaviour, diversity and equality, moving and handling, food hygiene and record keeping. Ancillary staff employed to perform household and domestic tasks also receive the same training.
